Do Meraki MX appliances need a license?
Yes. Every MX needs an active license, and the license edition, such as Enterprise or Advanced Security, decides which security features run.
Why is real throughput lower than the spec sheet?
Headline numbers are usually measured with features off. With intrusion prevention and content filtering on, throughput drops, sometimes by more than half.
